In memory of the lives lost on September 11th, our community came together at the UTEP Sun Bowl for the annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Hosted by the UTEP ROTC Program, the event honored the courage and sacrifice of the 343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 8 paramedics who gave their lives at the World Trade Center. Police officers, firefighters, first responders, Soldiers, and civilians climbed side by side, each step a tribute, each breath a promise to never forget. Today, we didn’t just climb stairs. We climbed for them. We climbed together. (U.S. Army Video by Sgt. 1st Class Alon Humphrey)
