A wish rolled in on tank tracks as 13-year-old Kadin Brewer, a brave cancer survivor and Army enthusiast, lived out his dream of becoming a U.S. Army tanker thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the 1st Armored Division.
From firing an M1A1 Abrams tank with the 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division “Ready First” to commanding tank crews with the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division “Strike,” Kadin spent the day as “Old Ironsides’” newest tank commander — and reminded us all of the power of resilience, courage, and hope.
