U.S. Marines with Headquarters and Service Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, participate in basic and intermediate swim qualifications at MCRD San Diego, California, Dec. 10, 2025. The basic swim qualification consists of a 25-meter swim, 15-foot tower jump into the water, four-minute tread, 25-meter pack swim and an underwater shedding of gear.
