U.S. Air National Guardsmen assigned to the 134th Air Refueling Wing participated in the 25th annual “Santa Cops” community outreach event, a wing-wide fundraiser led by the 134th Security Forces Squadron. Volunteers from across the wing shopped for gifts for children receiving care at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, using donations raised throughout the year. The following morning, members of the 134th SFS joined by Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, elves and accompanying volunteers delivered toys and met with families at the hospital. The program, which began 25 years ago with squadron members purchasing bicycles for local children, has grown into a wing tradition supporting young patients and their families during the holiday season.
