U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 4 Patrick Fahey, a Space and Propagation Engineering Officer (SPEO) with III Marine Expeditionary Force, trains U.S. Marines at White Beach Naval Base, Okinawa, Japan, Sept., 2025. CWO4 Fahey trained alongside U.S. Space Force Guardians from the 527th and 57th Space Aggressor Squadrons, Space Delta 11. The event reinforced III MEF’s joint relationships and sharpened its ability to operate in contested electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) environments across the Indo-Pacific.
RD25 is an annual bilateral exercise across Japan, including the Southwest Islands, that strengthens the command control and multi-domain maneuver capabilities of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force's Western Army personnel with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain.
