KAMAKURA, Japan (Sept. 26, 2025) – As part of the Beyond the Gate video series, Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka Fleet and Family Support Center hosted military families and community members on a guided tour through Kamakura’s historic temple district. The experience highlighted seasonal blooms of spider lilies and bush clover while providing participants an opportunity to learn about Japanese history, culture, and natural heritage. The tour fostered cultural understanding and strengthened connections between U.S. Navy families and the host nation. (U.S. Navy video by Sheryl Sullivan)
