A historic ammunition bunker sits at Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie near Wilmington, Illinois, winter 2020. The prairie was established on the site of the former Joliet Army Ammunition Plant, where hundreds of these concrete bunkers were used to store military explosives during World War II and the Korean War.
