U.S. Army paratroopers assigned to the 173rd Airborne Brigade and other units in Europe earn their Expert Soldier Badge (ESB) and Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB) at Grafenwöhr Training Area, Germany, Sep. 22, 2025. The Expert Badge testing event began Sep. 8 and runs through Sep. 22, sharpening individual lethality, readiness and mastery of critical Soldier skills.The 173rd Airborne Brigade is the U.S. Army's Contingency Response Force in Europe, providing rapidly deployable forces to the U.S. European, African and Central Command areas of responsibility.
