Ronald Johnson, U.S. Ambassador to Mexico, visits U.S. Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) at Nogales, Ariz., Sept. 17, 2025. Johnson discussed with JTF-SB leadership how their work with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has deterred illegal aliens from crossing the southern border. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of CBP to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
