This film reel depicts two segments: the "new" aircraft to the Air National Guard from1975, and the Pennsylvania Air National Guard 112th Fighter Tactical Fighter Group's new aircraft release (April 12, 1975).
The first segment depicts the A-7Corsair II, the F-100 Super Sabre, and the F-4C Phantom II aircraft. The Illinois National Guard was depicted in the video, among others.
The second segment depicts the 112th Fighter Interceptor Group's change to a Tactical Fighter Group, as they transitioned from the Convair F-102 Delta Dagger to the A-7 Corsair II, including a pass and review. The film discussed the Pennsylvania National Guard change from Aerospace Defense Command to Tactical Air Command. Filmed largely at Greater Pittsburgh Airport. This video also contains an interview with The Adjutant General, Major General Harry J. Myer Jr., filmed at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. The film goes on to discuss the BQM-34 Firebee High Performance Aerial Target System, the William Tell competition, and the future intent for the Delta Daggers.
