U.S. Marines and Sailors with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted integrated training across the USS America amphibious ready group in the Indo-Pacific region, July 9, 2025. The integrated training is an opportunity for the 31st MEU to conduct mission-oriented training in Queensland, Australia, to provide the III Marine Expeditionary Force commanding general and 7th Fleet Commander the best crisis response force in the INDOPACOM area of operations. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the USS America ARG in the 7th Fleet area of operations, the U.S. Navy's largest forward-deployed numbered fleet, and routinely interacts and operates with allies and partners in preserving a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
