Families from across Fort Hood gathered at the Abrams Physical Fitness Center on July 19 for the Rick Herrema Foundation’s first-ever Summer Fun Fest in Texas. The video captures scenes of families checking in, kids enjoying bounce houses, volunteers grilling burgers, and children lining up for cotton candy and snow cones. Inside, laughter and energy filled the gym during Nerf battles and games.
With more than 1,300 attendees, the event brought military families together for a day of free food, games, and connection—highlighting the foundation’s mission to strengthen families and community ties.
