Eric Curry, the executive officer for 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, under Joint Task Force-Southern Border, speaks about the unique capabilities utilized to support U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) during a five day operation at the southern border near Bisbee, Ariz., June 28 to July 2, 2025. U.S. Soldiers assist CBP’s mission by using unique capabilities such as performing air assault missions, conducting aerial patrols, and using Stryker armored vehicles for detection and monitoring the southern border. Joint Task Force-Southern Border executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
