This month, we are highlighting the Fire and Emergency Services Division located at Tyndall Air Force Base. F&ES operates as a key component of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center under AFIMSC. This team is responsible for establishing technical guidance for fire and emergency operations, fire prevention, and command and control. It develops training and tactics, techniques, and procedures for Department of the Air Force firefighters.
Additionally, the division provides strategic direction on manpower requirements, centrally manages the procurement of firefighting equipment and vehicles, develops specialized training programs, and oversees the certification system used by all Department of Defense firefighters and emergency responders.
