Spartan Week culminates in the Gold Star Ceremony at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 21. U.S. Army paratroopers carried the nametapes of 77 fallen paratroopers who made the ultimate sacrifice during deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. Paratroopers then placed the name tapes on a memorial before Gold Star family members and fellow Soldiers. (U.S. Air Force video by Airman 1st Class Hunter Hites)
