U.S. Marines with Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, and Airmen with the 3rd Air Support Operations Squadron, conduct touch and go training on an assault landing zone during exercise Kodiak Mace 25, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, May 4, 2025. During exercise Kodiak Mace 25, Marines with VMGR-152, land on and take off from austere sites in order to build confidence when landing on dirt roads or fields, this provides VMGR-152 with more opportunities to increase squadron combat readiness through the diverse environment available in the area.
