U.S. Air Force Reserve Airmen joined active-duty and guard forces from the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps for Exercise NEXUS FORGE 2025 at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, from Feb. 1-14, 2025. Set to become the premier annual certification event for the Air Force Reserve Command, NEXUS FORGE is a large-scale, multi-theater exercise designed to certify and prepare Reserve forces for deployment in contested environments—wherever the Air Force needs us. AFRC had more than 750 personnel and 300 support staff in attendance, and 60 aircraft including C-17s, KC-135s, KC-46s, and C-130s which provided airlift and tanker support from 23 state-side wings. With Citizen Airmen positioned in locations spanning across the Pacific Ocean, this exercise proves it’s more than just training—it’s a real-world demonstration of our ability to deploy, operate, and sustain combat-ready forces in the Indo-Pacific.
