The Safwan Customs Port of Embarcation is the largest commercial land port in Iraq. The port, which sits on the Kuwait - Iraq border, processes more than 200 trucks of cargo per day, which is crucial for Iraq's economy. With the drawdown of U.S. forces approaching, the Iraqi customs police are leading operations with troops from the 354th Military Police Company taking on more of an advisory role. The customs police are responsible for inspecting each vehicle and it's cargo in addition to all personnel entering the country. Produced by Spc. Jenna Lindauer. Includes a soundbite from Maj. Kevin Parrish - deputy stability transition team chief Safwan POE, from Colorado Springs, Colo.
