How can Airmen get real-world medical trauma training outside the battlefield?
Answer: The Centers for Sustainment of Trauma and Readiness Skills (C-STARS), where an Air Force medical training program is embedded in civilian academic trauma centers. This provides hands-on, real-world medical trauma training for Airmen.
There are multiple C-STARS sites across the country including in Baltimore, St. Louis, Las Vegas, Cincinnati, Omaha and Dayton.
