Approximately 90 high school juniors and seniors from around Oklahoma City, Lawton, and Wichita Falls traveled to Fort Sill, Okla., as part of the Day in the Life program on Friday, April 19, 2024. Students got first-hand experiences on a day-in-the-life of a U.S. Soldier.
They saw an M777 Howitzer and a Paladin, participated in a rifle range virtual simulator, witnessed Fort Sill firefighters use the Jaws of Life, learned proper formation drills from Drill Sergeants, and more.
Day in the Life exists to inform Oklahoma high school seniors about the jobs, benefits, and opportunities the U.S. Army can offer them and to provide accurate information on what Soldiers do in the Army.
