Soldiers from 1BCT, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) conducted a demonstration of the combat power of the Army's next generation squad weapon systems - the M7 and the M250. The new weapons went up against the older M4 and M249 to display the combat effectiveness when firing upon a target that has cover behind a cinder block wall or a 3/8 in. steel plate. The demonstration was conducted on April 15, 2024 at Ft. Campbell, KY.
