Jacques Lewis, Buffalo District floating plant deckhand, demonstrates how to don an immersion suit also known as a survival suit which is designed for survival for up to 6 hours in frigid temperatures to help prevent hypothermia, Cleveland, Ohio, Mar. 14, 2024. USACE puts safety first and every vessel of the repair fleet is fitted with survival suits in the approximate size of each crewmember who is tested monthly on their ability to don the suit within a 2-minute timeframe.
