The United States Ambassador to Thailand, Robert F. Godec, visits the Ban Nong Yai School to give a speech and tour the new multipurpose building for a closing ceremony during exercise Cobra Gold 2024, at the Ban Nong Yai School, Chachoengsao Province, Kingdom of Thailand, Mar. 7, 2024. The Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Royal Thai Army, U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps worked together to construct a new multipurpose building for the school. Joint exercise Cobra Gold is the largest joint exercise in mainland Asia and a concrete example of the strong alliance and strategic relationship between Thailand and the United States.
