U.S. Marines execute a fire direction center and radar during exercise Typhoon Crossbow 24.2 on Iwo To, Japan, Feb. 27, 2024. Typhoon Crossbow is an exercise that proves 3d Battalions, 12th Marine Regiments abilities to establish an expeditionary advanced base by executing a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System rapid infiltration. HIRAIN is the process of identifying a target, seizing key terrain, inserting HIMARS, destroying the target and retrograding back to a secure location.
