Lt. Col. (retired) Eldridge Johnson Jr. received the Distinguished Flying Cross, for his heroic actions during the Vietnam war, on February 22, 2024 at Fort Campbell, Ky., Johnson was a CW2 maintenance test pilot for the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) during one of his tours to Vietnam.
