VOLOS, GREECE (Jan. 8, 2024) Marines assigned to 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) prepare to disembark the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), while anchored off the coast of Volos, Greece, Jan. 8. Bataan is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S. allied and partner interests.
