U.S. Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461 and 2nd Distribution Support Battalion (DSB) execute a heavy external lift of a shipping container during Operation Potomac Enforcer at Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Dec. 7, 2023. Marines with HMH-461 and 2nd DSB rehearsed and executed heavy external lifts throughout Operation Potomac Enforcer. The lift capability of the CH-53K King Stallion allows for the rapid transportation of troops and equipment to austere expeditionary sites. HMH-461 is a subordinate unit of the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, and 2nd DSB is a subordinate unit of the 2nd Marine Logistics Group, the aviation and logistics combat elements of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
