U.S. Army Corps of Engineers USACE is managing the removal of the debris on Maui as part of the federal government’s unified national response following the wildfires that ravaged the towns of Lahaina, Kula/Olinda Aug. 8. The cleanup process, which includes two phases, involves the removal of hazardous materials by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the removal of other fire-related debris by USACE.
