U.S. Marines transport a simulated casualty on a sked stretcher during the Basic Jungle Skills Course at Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 13, 2023. The course provides Marines with 3d Battalion, 5th Marines the opportunity to train tactical movements through the jungle, enabling them to begin developing an understanding of time-space requirements for movements, and to engineer natural meeting engagements to facilitate jungle planning considerations. 3d Battalion, 5th Marines is forward deployed under 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division.
