U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Bravo “Barbarian” Company, 2nd Battalion, 69th Armored Regiment “Panther Battalion”, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, supporting 3rd Infantry Division, conducts exercise Iron Spear at Adazi, Latvia, Nov. 14, 2023. Iron Spear is a multinational unified artillery exercise involving troops from the U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, Latvia, Poland, Croatia, Romania, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, and Italy comprising NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence Battle Groups in Poland and Latvia. The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
