230925-M-VB101-10001 GULF OF OMAN (Sept. 25, 2023) U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (Reinforced), 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) (MEU(SOC)), conduct flight operations in the Gulf of Oman, Sept. 25. The 26th MEU(SOC) executed a U.S. Naval Central Command tasked Precision Guided Munition aerial range to increase proficiency and operational readiness with aviation ordnance systems by engaging maritime targets. Components of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations to increase maritime security and stability in the Middle East Region.
