U.S. Army Reserve Maj. Gen. Matthew V. Baker, Commanding General, 88th Readiness Division, visits the Chicago land area during local Veterans Day events on Nov. 9-10, 2023. Elk Grove High School and John Hersey organized their annual Veterans Day ceremony and invited MG Baker as the guest speaker. The Army showed off helicopters, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles, Army Combat Fitness Test equipment and Army Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics mobile that underscores Mission Support Battalion (MSB) efforts to augment recruiting by expanding the use of technology.
