Swimming lessons are not just for kids. Adults can take them too. To gain confidence in the water try wearing a life jacket when you start swimming lessons. Learning to swim well by taking swimming lessons can help prevent drownings, but when swimming in open waters (lakes, rivers, ponds, etc.) even strong swimmers can drown, so please wear a life jacket.
