Servicemembers and community members joined together to honor those who were held captive and returned, as well as those who remain unaccounted for from past conflicts during a 24-hour relay marathon, in South Bay, Calif, on Sept. 14, 2023. This event, in support of National POW/MIA Recognition Day, allowed participants the opportunity to pay their respects by collectively running 54-miles, from U.S. Coast Guard Base Los Angeles/Long Beach to Los Angeles Air Force Base (LA AFB), to then finish the 24-hour event at LA AFB.

Featured speakers in order of appearance:

    Col. Mia Walsh (USSF)
    Commander, Space Base Delta 3

    Capt. Chun-Han Lin (USSF)
Project Officer, Space Base Delta 3
