U.S. Army Spc. John Momich , a 12 Yankee, Geospatial Engineer in the G2 GEOINT section, assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, shares why he joined the United States Army and his goals while on rotation in Europe for Why We Serve Wednesday at Boleslawiec, Poland, Oct. 10, 2023. Momich, was presented with a coin by the 3rd ID Com. Maj. Gen. Christopher R. Norrie, for the outstanding job conducting the terrain analysis briefing portion of the Div Mission Analysis Brief to Commander Maj. Gen. Christopher R. Norrie, during command post exercise 3, Marne 6 observed that the Division mission analysis brief was and quote; "One of the best in the last 30 years of his career." The 3rd Infantry Division’s mission in Europe is to engage in multinational training and exercises across the continent, working alongside NATO allies and regional security partners to provide combat-credible forces to V Corps, America’s forward deployed corps in Europe.
