Jim Fike, Col., USAF (ret), Global Health Consultant, briefs his thoughts on the "Department of Defense Global Health Engagement Strategy" during the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa's hosted Medical Readiness Exercise Concept Development Event, MEDREX CDE, held in Vicenza, Italy during the week of September 18, 2023.
MEDREX CDE is a planning event bringing African Partners and NATO Allies together to plan the next several years medical training exercise that will be led by the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa. These exercises allow military health specialists from the U.S. Army and their African Partners to exchange medical practices, procedures and techniques that build and strengthen treatment capabilities, resulting in lasting relationships between medical professionals.
