Michelle Dressner, public health advisor at U.S. Africa Command, briefs conference attendees on "Women, Peace and Security and the Impact of Outbreaks on Gender Equality" during the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF) hosted Medical Readiness Exercise Concept Development Event, held in Vicenza, Italy during the week of Sept. 18-21, 2023.
MEDREX CDE is a planning event that brings African partners and NATO allies together to plan the next several years medical training exercise that will be led by SETAF-AF. These exercises allow military health specialists from the U.S. armed forces and their African partners to exchange medical practices, procedures and techniques that build and strengthen treatment capabilities, resulting in lasting relationships between medical professionals.
