The 172nd Airlift Wing recently conducted Operation Iron Magnolia, a base-wide exercise that aimed to test the base's capabilities in mission generation. The 172nd Maintenance Group, 172nd Logistics Readiness Squadron, 172nd Contingency Response Flight, 183rd Airlift Squadron, 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron emphasized Multi-capable Airman concept.
The exercise had cross training on the flight line and insertion/extraction and low level ingress/egress at Camp Shelby Auxiliary Field.
