On August 11th, 2023 U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command assisted local volunteers with efforts aimed at providing relief to the communities effected by the wildfires on the island of Maui, Hawaii. The 94th AAMDC soldiers started arriving at the state capitol building in Honolulu, Hawaii at around 8:30 a.m. and stayed until 1 p.m. to provide support and management. The soldiers and volunteers facilitated the arrival of vehicles, unloaded supplies from those vehicles, and began loading the supplies inside of the capitol building. The supplies consisted of food, water, clothes, baby formula, bedding and toiletries. (U.S. Army video by Sgt. ZaBarr Jones)
