Team Moody celebrated the 100th Anniversary of aerial refueling by refueling two HH-60W Jolly Green II helicopters with a boom from an HC-130J Combat King II aircraft near Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, June 22, 2023. The first ever mid-air refueling of military aircraft took place on June 27, 1923, when U.S. Army Air Corps aviators passed gasoline via gravity hose between two Airco DH-4B aircraft.
