U.S. marine vessels participated in Operation Neptune Storm in Hillsborough Bay, Florida. The operation included assets from the 6th Security Forces Squadron, U.S. Coast Guard, Tampa Fire Rescue, Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission, Tampa Police Department, and the Hillsborough County and Manatee County Sheriff’s Offices. The event demonstrated MacDill’s overwhelming maritime force protection capabilities employed to defend America’s premier power projection platform.
