On Day 1, squads participating in U.S. Army Central's Best Squad Competition 2023 completed a full day of ranges. The day's agenda featured an M4 carbine zero range, M4 qualification range, M17 combat pistol qualification course, and an M240B course. The latter required participants to zero, engage targets, as well as timed them on disassembly and reassembly of the weapon system.
