The 3rd Security Force Assistance Brigade hosted select Israeli Defense Forces officers during a bilateral artillery subject matter expert exchange, May 1-4, at Fort Cavazos. The event was the latest in ongoing military partner engagements between the U.S and Israel. IDF officers observed the 3rd Regimental Field Artillery Squadron fire M777 howitzers as part of their Table XV certification. The certification is a battery level training event that integrates fires into a tactical training scenario evaluated by 1st Cavalry Division Artillery. Our longstanding cooperation with Israel supports regional security and stability in the Middle East. The 3rd SFAB engages nations in the USARCENT area of responsibility to support the U.S. standing as the partner of choice in the Middle East.
