United States Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 442 Engineer Company prepares for Guardian Response 2023 taking place at Camp Atterbury and Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Indiana from April 13 to May 11, 2023.Guardian Response 23 is a homeland emergency response exercise focused on collective training for units to refine execution of Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) missions, including homeland emergency response to man-made or natural disasters. The 2023 exercise scenario is focused on response to a 10-kiloton nuclear detonation in a major U.S. city.
