U.S. Marines with 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) use a forward arming and refueling point and perform close-air support at Marine Corps Outlying Field Atlantic, North Carolina, Jan. 26, 2023. Marines with 2nd MAW demonstrated their capability to conduct distributed aviation operations, logistics, communications, and sustainment requirements necessary to fight in future battles in accordance with Force Design 2030. 2nd MAW is the aviation combat element of II Marine Expeditionary Force.
