U.S. Army Soldiers with 2nd Battalion, 1st Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, conduct Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction training with the 136th Mechanized Battalion of the ROK Army near Dongducheon, Republic of Korea, Jan. 11, 2023. Operation Centurion Blitz was conducted in an urban environment featuring buildings and tunnel complexes assaulted by a combined ground assault force using armored vehicles and dismounted infantry personnel and focused on the exploitation of a simulated chemical weapons site. U.S. and ROK forces trained to build their capabilities to conduct attacks as a company, react to potential chemical attacks, implementing Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear protective measures and decontamination procedures.
