The CASE mission was the domain of the Base Engineer Battalion in Vermont but that has changed. The mission requirement of having 100 pax was more than the realigned engineer battalion had available. Consequently the CASE mission is now available to any Soldier in the Vermont Army National Guard, regardless of unit or MOS. Soldiers can remain in their unit and get additional training and certifications. This training and certification is applicable to civilian careers in multiple fields.
