Fleet Support 2022 Year in Review
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) once again hit every target for helping to keep the U.S. Navy’s surface fleet in the fight through its many Combat System Assessment Team (CSAT) events in 2022. Engineers, technicians and subject matter experts boarded more than a dozen ships, including destroyers, littoral combat ships, amphibious transport docks and landing ship docks. Team members helped identify and troubleshoot faults, made critical systems repairs and trained ships force on a variety of capabilities. Ships being groomed by CSAT members also received valuable logistics support for current and legacy parts, and had important technical documents reviewed and, if necessary, updated. Visiting ships’ officers were grateful for the assistance and impressed with the team’s depth of knowledge and invaluable support.
