Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, and National Cyber Security Alliance co-led event that spans October. The goal of this national campaign is to ensure every American has the resources to stay safe and secure online. Its messaging highlights how NSA is scaling cyber defense, working with partners, and recruiting future cyber talent. NSA's Director of Cybersecurity, Rob Joyce, kicks off Cybersecurity Awareness Month by increasing awareness of NSA's Cybersecurity mission and how NSA is scaling defense as adversaries continue to push limits in cyberspace.
