Santa and Mrs. Claus joined Alaska National Guard Soldiers and Airmen in spreading holiday cheer to the community of Nuiqsuit during Operation Santa Claus. Operation Santa Claus is the Alaska National Guard’s yearly community relations and support program that provides gifts to children in remote communities across the state. In its 67th year, the operation delivered 1,420 pounds of gifts, backpacks, hygiene supplies and books to 191 children in Nuiqsut.
